1st Annual Giving and Grub Get-Together

>> Sunday, December 5, 2010

We had our first Cadets Christmas potluck last night at the Kersch house.  Because we want to focus on teaching the Cadets charity (especially during the holiday season), we decided to make our party about giving back instead of exchanging gifts.  We decided to make fleece tie blankets to hand out to the residents in the memory ward at The Seasons assisted living home when we head over there Monday to sing carols.   Every family really stepped up to the plate and brought enough fleece to make 14 blankets, one for every resident in the memory ward!

The dads even helped out!

Kasey took the kids aside to teach them the carols we'll be singing Monday!

We are all really looking forward to caroling at The Seasons on Monday!  Those of us who were Daisies last year agree that it was our favorite outing of the year, and I know it will be a wonderful experience this year as well!

Thanks again to the Kersch family for hosting The Giving and Grub Get-Together!
