Reno Veterans Day Parade

>> Thursday, November 11, 2010

We have been so blessed to have had such wonderful experiences in our first few months of Cadets.  And today's event was probably the best so far!  The Cadets and Project 33 got to march in the Reno Veterans Day Parade.  It was such an honor to be able to be in an event along side people who have fought for our country.  It was also a very special experience for our Cadets to see Veterans of all ages, from all branches of the military, from all walks of life.

The day before the parade we headed to Ms. DeeDee's house to make our letters for the Thank You sign:

We were so fortunate to have a pleasant day for the parade!  We first headed over to our staging area to finish decorating the float and to wait for our turn to go.  The Cadets did an amazing job being patient!

It was finally our time to march in the parade!  The kids had such a blast riding on our little float, and the crowd was so enthusiastic about their little letters!

We are all already looking forward to next year's parade.  It was such a fun experience for both the Cadets and Project 33.  Another huge thanks to all the Veterans who have made our lives and freedom possible!
